I will ensure that your loved one's life is honoured, celebrated and remembered in a way that truly reflects their beliefs and wishes.

“Your love was like the dawn brightening over our lives.”

- John O Donohue

Everyone deserves to be celebrated in a special way that respects their beliefs, values, and their personality. When a loved one passes away it is our last chance to say goodbye and honour their memory, while also providing comfort and solace to those who are grieving.

 Funeral and Memorial Services

A ceremony that is a response to the

changing spiritual needs of our time!

As a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, I am ordained to offer personalised funeral and memorial services that reflects all beliefs, all faiths and none. At a time when society is becoming more secular, families require more diverse ways to honour the beliefs of their loved one and to pay tribute to them in a manner that is authentic, whether they require some religion or none.

In Ireland today, there are many ways to honour the life of a loved one such as with funerals, memorial ceremonies, cremation services, celebration of life ceremonies, or scattering of ashes. Services can be held in funeral homes, crematoriums, graveside, in the family home or any other venue. I am trained to work with families and funeral directors to design and present personalised funeral and memorial services. My role is to make sure that the ceremony reflects the deceased’s beliefs, personality, values and wishes. I will create a ceremony that is dignified, compassionate, and offers comfort to those who mourn. It will be written with sensitivity and it will of course be approved by the family in advance.

The ceremony may include:

  • Poetry, Readings
  • Prayers
  • Hymns, Music
  • Other elements to honour, give thanks, and celebrate the life of your loved one.

At this sad and difficult time, I am there to provide support and I will guide the family with the layout and content of the ceremony. I will always respect your desires and requests, and encourage family participation.

“Though we need to weep your loss, You dwell in that safe place in our hearts, Where no storm or night or pain can reach you.”

- John O Donohue

Covid-19 Memorial Ceremonies

Because of the restrictions on the number of people attending funerals under the Covid-19 guidelines, I can offer an alternative that would help to support and give some comfort for the bereaved with a meaningful memorial ceremony that may be held at a later date. This will allow families and relatives who were abroad and unable to get home for the funeral to have an opportunity to mourn with their family and to process the loss and find closure.

As a trained celebrant, I deliver a memorial service that will help people gather and be comforted by each other through the shared love they have for the deceased. I am here to help you, so please feel free to contact me to discuss your wishes and how you would like to honour the true spirit of your loved one in the company of family and friends.
